The NJ District Kiwanis Foundation met Saturday, August 27th 2005 at 10:45 AM at the Star Lux Hotel in Wildwood NJ.
John Green presented the Treasurers report. The board approved a motion to file the Profit and Loss Statement for audit.
Tom Tolly submitted a written report from the Kiwanis Youth Leadership Training Institute. Two clubs still owe money and that he is negotiating with the college with regards to some alleged damages. He also reported that the dates have been set earlier this year in an effort to promote the program earlier and to try to enlist 100 students to have a break even program.
Bill Cater reported on the Carrington-Swain multiple level giving project. The committee will purchase a "Sand dollar" die for the project.
President Jack reported on the Children’s Specialized Hospital project being brought before the NJ District of Kiwanis House of Delegates this afternoon and said everyone needs to push the project in its present form. He added the had some pledges that he would announce when the project is approved at the House of Delegates. The Woodbury club has agreed to put the proceeds from Kiwanis night at the Phillies towards this project. Jack will work with them in trying to get it to be and evening when they are playing a New York team to try to increase the attendance. Ted Hordichuk reported that the Jackson Club and its members had discussed the project and voted to pledge $50,000 to the project
The meeting was adjourned. The reorganization meeting will be held October 10th at the Bridgewater Office at 7 PM.
