Key Leader is a youth leadership program created by Kiwanis International.
For many decades, Kiwanis clubs have supported the youth leadership programs of other organizations. Now, through the Key Leader program, Kiwanians can offer an outstanding program of our own.
Key Leader is designed to identify potential leaders and provide young people with leadership skills through voluntarism. More than 30 Key Leader weekends are scheduled at sites across the U.S. and Canada from April to November.
Kiwanis clubs can participate by sponsoring qualified high school students, providing event facilitators, and assisting with site support. Online registration for Key Leader events is available in February. For more information about the Key Leader program and a list of this year's locations and dates, go to http://www.key-leader.org/participate/.
New Jersey will host a Key Leader program in 2006 at Camp Lebanon.
It is scheduled for October 20-22.
